Left by the try.
Typing between the words does not make a steady floor, so it is not labelled background noise, and the try does not set out to lower it.

Keyboard noise
Typing is a string of short, sharp sounds. Drop the recording here: the check names what else is wrong, and this page says what happens to the keystrokes.

Solipsium checks it in your browser for clipping, hum and noise, without uploading it. It can then repair the first 20 seconds for you to hear, with no account.
WAV, MP3, M4A, MP4 and more, up to five minutes for the check.
After signing up, drop the same file into the editor to repair all of it.
Then drop the same file into the editor. Scans and short repairs are free.
What the try does
The try measures and lowers steady noise. A keystroke lasts a moment and changes with every key, so it is not in that group.
Typing between the words does not make a steady floor, so it is not labelled background noise, and the try does not set out to lower it.
The editor's Clicks button redraws spikes a few samples long, like crackle on a record. A keystroke is longer than that, and its note warns: “in clean audio it can find spikes that are not clicks and change them too, so use it only where you hear clicks.”
A laptop's own microphone also hears its fan and, while charging, mains hum. Those are measured and repaired: “Mains hum was found, so it is notched out before any cleanup.”
In the editor
In the editor, with a free account, drag a box on the spectrum over the time and pitch of a sound, then turn it down or redraw it from the sound around it. Nothing outside the box changes.
A keystroke shows as a thin bright stripe from low to high, between or over the words.
Keep the box as narrow in time as the stripe, so the words around it stay as they are. The tool's description reads: “Edits one box of time and frequency: the selected passage, between two frequencies. Attenuate lowers everything in the box. Replace redraws its loudness from the sound on either side, which is an estimate. Drag a box on the Spectrum view to set the range.”
Attenuate lowers everything in the box. Listen to Original and Repaired on the same words before you keep it.
Questions
Not in one step. The box works on one stretch at a time, so it suits a few loud keystrokes, not a whole call of typing.
When the try runs speech cleanup for another reason, such as a steady noise floor, sounds around the voice can come down with it. It is not run for typing alone.
Use a microphone that is not built into the laptop, keep it away from the keyboard, and mute while you type on a call you are recording.
That is a different sound. Remove mouth clicks says how the editor's Clicks button handles them.
Not for the check, which runs in your browser. Pressing Repair the first 20 seconds sends those 20 seconds; when your browser could not open the file, or it runs over five minutes, the file itself goes to Solipsium's server, so the try is offered for it only up to 25 MB. Solipsium keeps only the first 20 seconds and deletes them within an hour. If you are signed in, a file you drop or choose is uploaded to your account and opens in the editor instead. The privacy notice has the rest.
