Free Suno check

Why your Suno song sounds muffled.

Drop the song you downloaded from Suno. This page measures where its sound stops and whether it clips, then says whether the trouble is in the file or in the song.

Measured in your browser. Your file is not uploaded.

The MP3 or WAV you downloaded yourself, up to five minutes. FLAC, M4A, OGG and Opus usually work too.

What the answer means

Two kinds of muffled.

A song can sound dull because the file lost its top when it was made, or because the song itself is crowded or dark. The picture tells them apart, and each points to a different next step.

The file stops early.

Above the cutoff the file holds almost nothing, and an equaliser cannot add back treble that is not there. If your plan offers a WAV download, check that file too. A free account's editor can run AudioSR on up to 60 seconds of a song, and what it adds is inferred.

The file reaches the top.

Then the dullness is in the song: instruments crowding the voice, or a dark arrangement. Regenerate or rebalance the section. If your plan gives you stems, turn down what crowds the voice before you master.

The file clips.

Clipping flattens the loudest peaks, which can sound harsh. Turning the file down afterwards does not undo it; a master with more headroom avoids it.

Questions

Before you regenerate.

Why does my Suno song sound muffled?

Either the file lost its top when it was made, which this page measures, or the song itself is crowded or dark, which a regeneration or a remix of its stems changes. A song can have both.

Does Suno cut its downloads at 16 kHz?

Suno does not publish the bitrate or the frequency range of its downloads, so this page does not assume one: it measures your file. Suno's help centre, read on October 15, 2026, says MP3 downloads are available on every plan and WAV only to Pro and Premier subscribers, and that the free plan's Download button makes a lightweight MP3. Solipsium is not connected with Suno.

Can I paste a Suno link instead of a file?

No. Suno's terms (last revised August 10, 2026) forbid getting a copy of a song in any way other than its own downloads, for example by recording or stream ripping, so this page checks only a file you downloaded yourself.

Will mastering fix a muffled song?

Mastering changes balance and level. It can brighten the treble a file still holds, but it cannot add back treble the file no longer holds.

May I process a song I made with Suno?

Suno's terms, last revised August 10, 2026, let you edit, process or convert a song you are allowed to use “to the extent such use is incidental”, and forbid removing or altering the watermark or metadata Suno adds to an Output if the aim is to hide where the song came from. Whether a given repair counts as incidental is between you and Suno. This page only reads your file and changes nothing in it.

Does it work for Udio songs and other files?

Yes, for MP3, WAV and FLAC files up to five minutes long, and for M4A, OGG and Opus files your browser opens: an M4A saved in Apple's ALAC format opens only in Safari, and an older Safari may not open OGG or Opus. Udio turned off downloads on October 29, 2025, so most Udio songs that can be checked were saved before then.
